...and Season's Greetings From The Circle! Team

We hope you will enjoy our gift to you, this special edition of "Circle!" planned to honor Harry on his birthday. Harry's son Josh has provided some rare and wonderful photos from the family's archives. We have an exclusive interview with Harry's backup singer and bass player, Big John Wallace. We tell the inside story of Run-DMC's Darryl McDaniels' recording, "Cat's in the Cradle" based on Harry and Sandy's song. We catch up with Jen Chapin on her cross-country tour. And we learn about what the Harry Chapin Foundation is doing to keep Harry's dream alive.

With the publication of this issue, we mark the end of our first year of producing "Circle!" We hope we've achieved our dual missions of inspiring you to get involved in social action while having fun sharing news and stories about Chapin-related events.

We want to know how you think we're fulfilling our mission, as well as any suggestions you have for improvement. In an upcoming issue we'll be conducting a short reader survey. We'll make it quick and easy for you to participate, and we hope you'll respond.

We send our sincerest thanks to everyone who has contributed to this issue and the ones before it. And we wish all of them and all of you a season of joy, love and peace.
