Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger
Celebrates 25th Anniversary October 16th

Friends and fans of Harry Chapin, and runners of all ages and abilities, will gather in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, (about 30 miles north of New York City) on Sunday, October 16th, to participate in the 25th annual Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger.

All proceeds from the event, which features a one-mile “fun run” and a 10K race, will be donated to fight domestic and international hunger.

The fun run starts at 12 noon and the 10K race, which features a scenic route over the historic Croton Dam, starts at 12:30 p.m.

Danielle Lerner and Jason Chapin head toward the finish line in 2004 Harry Chapin Memorial 10K Run Against Hunger.   Special edition print by
artist Jerry Pinkney is available for donation.

This year, organizers are offering donors a limited edition “Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger” iris print, designed and hand-signed by famous artist/illustrator Jerry Pinkney.

The illustration, ready-for-framing, features an image of Chapin and is a specially-updated 25th anniversary edition of the print originally offered during one of the earliest years of the Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger.

In addition, festive tee shirts for the 25th annual Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger, featuring the unique designs of Craig Yoe, are available for donation.

For directions to the race and on-line registration, or for more information about the commemorative poster and tee-shirt, visit www.runagainsthunger.com
